Fibreglass mats are reinforcement materials in which all the fibres are 25 mm or 50 mm long and are randomly oriented, which gives the mats the same strength in all directions.
This type of reinforcement is particularly suitable for the manufacture of parts in direct contact with water (boats, swimming pools and ponds).
The styrene in the polyester or vinylester resin dissolves the binder, allowing the fibres to move independently and the whole to take on complex shapes.
Technical information :
Theoretical resin consumption: +/- 3x the weight of the glass mat per m². (Ex: 1m² of 300g/m² = +/- 900g of resin)
