RESOLCOAT 1010 is a unique waterborne epoxy system. It can be used in a multitude of applications, such as primers, varnishes, mortar binders and self-polishers, in fields as diverse as shipbuilding and construction. Apart from hydrophobic substrates, the RESOLCOAT 1010 system is compatible with most porous substrates such as wood, concrete, cement, stone, terracotta, metal, etc.<\/p>\n
Highly dilutable with water, its viscosity can be extremely low, making it the resin of choice for impregnation. As a result, it can be used as a high-quality primer in the preparation of wood for shipbuilding, as well as a hardener for weathered wood in construction and woodwork restoration. <\/p>\n
With little or no dilution, it becomes a transparent varnish that is highly resistant to abrasion and offers a top-quality finish. It will bring out the color of wood and other porous materials such as terracotta. What’s more, the 1010 system’s natural micro-porosity to water vapour makes it an ideal primer for wood, concrete and other materials that need to breathe. <\/p>\n
System 1010 is available in two gloss versions. Hardener 1014 gives a glossy finish, while 1016 gives a matte finish. <\/p>\n
