A 1 to 3 mm thick layer of Jesmonite can then be applied without running off the mold surface. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #233c76;\">The addition of a thickener is particularly useful when applying a protective Gelcoat layer in a mold. Addition of thickener<\/strong><\/p><p>When the mixture is homogeneous, add between 2g and 6g per kilo of jesmonite A+B and stir gently until the desired consistency is reached. E.g.: for 500g of Jesmonite mix, add between 1 and 3g of thixotropic agent. <\/p><p><strong>3. Application<\/strong><\/p><p>Depending on the viscosity obtained, apply the material with a spatula or brush.<\/p><p>Its highly thickened texture enables it to cling perfectly to vertical or inclined surfaces without dripping.<\/p><p><strong>4. Drying<\/strong><\/p><p>Drying time may vary according to the thickness applied and the environment.
