FEINGOSIL 120 is a two-component RTV-2 condensation-cure silicone rubber. This molding silicone is designed for making flexible and precise molds, capable of faithfully reproducing the shape and surface of the parts to be replicated.
Easy to use, it is suitable for professionals as well as DIY or prototyping enthusiasts. Its application is simple and allows for the quick creation of reliable and precise molds.
Thanks to its very good tear resistance, this silicone allows for the manufacture of durable molds suitable for casting a wide variety of materials.
It is particularly appreciated by users looking for a high-performance silicone for making molds of objects with slight undercuts.
The same mold can be used several times to produce identical casts. This silicone is particularly suitable for reproducing technical parts, detailed items, or decorative elements, including certain glass pieces.

Secure packaging
1.surface preparation
Always ensure you apply a release agent: a layer of varnish/ spray release agent/vaseline or black soap to prevent the silicone from seeping into pores and adhering to the object.
2. Formwork
Build a frame completely surrounding the object, leaving a space of 4 to 10 mm to contain the silicone.
For formwork, we recommend using plastiline, plexiglass, polycarbonate, PVC, or formwork panels like Betonflex, often used in mold making.
Ensure the frame is perfectly sealed to prevent any leaks.
Don’t forget to fix the base of the object to be reproduced to prevent the silicone from getting underneath and making the object float to the surface.
3.mixing silicone + catalyst
In a clean, dry container, weigh the required amount of silicone and add 5% catalyst
(example: 100 g silicone + 5 g catalyst).
Mix the two components thoroughly with a spatula until a uniform color is achieved.
If mixing mechanically, work at low speed (300 to 500 rpm) for 2 to 3 minutes, keeping the mixer head submerged to limit air bubble incorporation.
4.pour the silicone
Pour the silicone in a thin stream at the lowest point of the mold.
You can also apply a first layer with a brush to cover details thoroughly, then fill the rest of the mold as needed for the application.
5.curing
Allow the silicone to harden at room temperature.
Demolding can generally be done the next day.
Make sure not to move the frame during this phase to avoid any mold deformation.
6.Cleaning
Tools can be cleaned once the silicone is dry.
Hardened silicone can usually be removed manually from instruments.

Spray Release Agent: Facilitates demolding and protects the mold surface. It prevents silicone from adhering to certain surfaces or porous materials.
Thixotropic agent: Added to the mix (A+B) to adjust its texture. This allows you to apply a layer of silicone without it running off the mold surface. Mixing ratio: Add 1 to 2% thixo to the A+B silicone mix.
Silicone pigment: Tints the silicone mass to make identifying molds easier or to achieve a specific visual effect.
Work in a well-ventilated area and wear protective gloves. Avoid prolonged contact with skin and eyes.
Skin contact:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing. Consult a doctor if irritation or rash occurs.
Eye contact:
Rinse thoroughly with running water for several minutes. Consult a doctor if irritation persists.
If necessary, consult the product safety data sheet for detailed information on handling and chemical structure.
These recommendations are part of best practices for handling molding silicones.
