Fiberglass mats are reinforcement materials in which all the fibers are 25 mm or 50 mm long and randomly oriented, giving the mats identical strength in all directions.
This type of reinforcement is particularly suitable for parts in direct contact with water, such as boats, swimming pools and ponds.
The styrene in the polyester or vinyl ester resin dissolves the binder, allowing the fibers to move independently and the whole to take on complex shapes.
Theoretical resin consumption: +/- 3x glass mat weight per m². (Ex: 1m² of 300g/m² = +/- 900g of resin)
