Demoulding can be done approx. 20–40 minutes after pouring.
The cast piece heats up strongly. It’s recommended to place it on wooden slats until it has fully cooled (around 8 hours).
Ceramic plaster has low porosity, but it’s recommended to apply a protective coating to seal the surface and preserve it over time.
After a full 24-hour dry, protecting each side with a repellent or with our Colortec helps improve the strength and durability of the pieces.
Recommended for casting parts intended for frequent use or decorative use.

Thanks to its strength and high hardness, Aqua Cerax™ can also be used to create prototypes. It allows you to make precise shapes that serve as a base for producing silicone moulds for personal craft projects.
Aqua Cerax™ is a reliable benchmark for casting thanks to its consistent quality, ease of use, and ability to faithfully reproduce every detail, even after repeated use.
Whether for a craft project, series production, or use on a wheel, this ceramic plaster meets the demands of the most discerning makers.
Ceramic plaster is finer, denser, and offers better strength. It produces more detailed parts with a smoother, more refined finish.
This can be due to incorrect dosing, drying too fast, or a piece that’s too thin. Following the proportions and letting it dry gradually helps avoid this kind of defect.
To reduce bubbles, mix slowly to avoid incorporating air, then tap or vibrate the mould after pouring to bring bubbles to the surface.
You can also apply a first coat with a brush to properly fill the mould details.
After drying, the surface can be sanded, varnished, or painted to protect the piece or create more elaborate finishes and custom decorative effects.
Yes, Aqua Cerax is compatible with pigments, allowing you to create custom, coloured objects while keeping a smooth, even finish.
The ratio depends on the product, but is generally between 25% and 30% water. It’s important to follow the recommended proportions to get a homogeneous mix and optimal performance after curing.
